Good hotel for the money

We had a room without a window which felt a bit strange (but we were aware of this when we booked so its not a complaint). Good location right in the old quarter and only a block from the lake. Great service from the staff in the hotel who are extremely eager to assist with anything.

Over-rated, disappointed

I often came to Hanoi for business. I can find a lot of hotels in Hoan Kiem District. Hanoi Royal View Hotel is one of the worst hotel I can say. Don't trust the pictures showing in introduction. They are deeply different from reality. This hotel was old and very small. I cannot say it was dirty but not clean enough. I came with 2 companions so my room was 3-bed which was not easy to find in Hanoi, but it only provided 2 sets of amenities, everyday! I needed to call the reception for one more set. It was easy to hear any noise outside the room. My fare came with Breakfast. However it made me disappointed, very few choices and no Vietnamese noodle offered. You may find better hotels with same fare. I will not choose Hanoi Royal View Hotel again.

Fint hotel som ligger perfekt i centrum tæt på den centrale sø. Beliggende på den såkaldte "sho-street" hvor alle sko kan handles. Personalet er utrolig flinke og forstår og snakker godt engelsk.

Hanoi Old Quarter

The location of this hotel is very good, being in the Old Quarter and easy to walk to restaurants and the Lake. The hotel needs refurbishing, the bathrooms have mold around the shower window. Breakfast was basic but OK. Overall the room was smaller than I anticipated when viewing it on the web so this was disappointing.There were no switches to turn on the bedside lamps and the plug on the kettle in the room was not for Vietnam, fortunately I had my own adopter. The staff were excellent and went out of their way to ensure we had a good vacation, the language was a bit of a problem at times but we managed in the end.

Nice room with a good location

Great hotel with equally great service! We arrived in Hanoi from Sapa via the night train at an ungodly hour of 4:10am, thankfully the hotel staff let us check in early at 8:30am which we were very grateful for! Room was clean and comfortable, it was a pleasant stay overall!

Good value. Clean and comfortable. The only downside was the window which looked onto an internal wall, so the "royal view" is somewhat misleading. However this did mean that there was no street noise!
