"The room I had was nicely appointed and clean. This room did not have a balcony but it has a terrific view of the ocean. It was an ocean front room. The room had a microwave as well as a mini refrigerator."

"I stayed in one of the dorm studio rooms, and it was fantastic! The room was spacious and quiet and clean. It had an efficient air conditioner which worked well and didn't smell of mildew. They had a shared laundry amenity which I didn't end up needing, but was good to have available since everything is so humid in Hilo, damp clothes won't dry on their own. I used the hot plate in the room to reheat some leftovers, which saved me some time and money on going to a restaurant. I would recommend this place if you're staying in Hilo for a few days"

"Loved the view of Coconut Island and being able to explore near by. Didn't like the ripped/stained curtains for the lanai. Restraunt was excellent. Vending machine gave us warm sodas and ice machine didnt work majority of the time for the floor we were on."

"Definitely stay here! The rooms are lovely as are the hosts. It's right on the water, a short walk or drive to the main shops & farmers market. Also a short drive to many lovely beaches. The breakfast was incredible - and they even accomodated gluten-free. Really great overall, great deal and we'll stay again if on Hilo!"

"The room came with an amazing view and had good facilities. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but it would've been lovely with the sunset. The kitchenette was well stocked and the room and hostel was very clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend for someone to stay here."
