"Expedia should drop this Hampton hotel off the list of places to stay in Halifax Nova Scotia...I travel a lot & never stayed at a Hampton inn like this before. .Construction, dirt & dust everywhere. No microwave in the rooms & when we asked for one it was dirty. We had to clean it ourselves, The front staff were rude most of the time. We asked to speak to the manager multiple times & no reply, The room was not cleaned well at all so we had to buy things from Walmart to clean it up. I canceled 3 days not to come back back ever. Spoke to other people & they felt the same way. We had to pay $28,00 a night to park in a nasty garage that really needed to be tore down. Had old furniture in there & was not kept clean at all. I will contact the corporation of Hilton because we need to be reimbursed in some way We bought food to go in the fridge on our first night & the next day we had to throw everything out because the fridge was broken. No reimbursement from them at all. Then we had to spend 21/2 hours of our vacation dealing with getting a new fridge in our room. Disgusted!!!!~!!"

"Nice spot to stay, food was great, however had a bit of a challenge with the room. And calling down to the desk was impossible no one ever a stand our shower was plugged. Finally was fixed at the end of the third day. Nice hotel just felt the service didn't quite hit what I was expecting for the type and style of holtel."

"Front desk staff were friendly, helpful, kind, and welcoming. When I mentioned that my wife and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary during our 8 day stay at the Homewood Suites in Halifax several staff went the distance to make our stay extra special and memorable. Navreet in particular took the time to make a romantic contribution with our room and decor. We will fondly remember the team’s thoughtfulness. The daily buffet breakfast offers many excellent options. The hotel offers a prime location in the heart of the city or easy access for travelling to some of the hot spots like Peggy’s Cove or Lunenburg - both photographers’ dream locations. We enjoyed our time in and around the wonderful city of Halifax and will sty at the Homewood Suites next time."
