"Embassy Suites sure knows how to create the best breakfast experience……made to order omelets and numerous other options to meet everyone’s breakfast needs. The breakfast staff was excellent and very accommodating. Your valet crew was very courteous and accommodating, even having to retrieve our car twice on check out day, due to issues. The front desk lady upon our arrival was one of the rudest individuals I’ve ever dealt with in a position of that nature. The hotel was very aware there was a marathon in town (our exuberant rate showed it) and when asked if we could have an extended check out time so our runners could shower before traveling home, she quickly said “No, and I don’t know why everyone is asking of such!” I also asked if an early breakfast would be available for the runners before hitting the start line, that was also met with a quick No! We have stayed in other hotels in Knoxville for said marathon who allowed a little later check out time AND provided a simple bag breakfast with a protein bar, banana and other items to accommodate the runners. If you are going to charge almost $600 for one night, be a little more accommodating AND professional about things. Very nice exquisite establishment, but when your top person acts in such a manner……the beauty of the building and its amenities mean nothing!! Do better Embassy Suites with your choices for management. Will choose another hotel next year for Knoxville Marathon, cause you’re not the only game in town."

"The pool was not open due to a maintenance issue of some kind. We were referred to the YMCA and were told we could use that facility for an additional charge. The parking was fine, but we thought a $30 per night charge to use it was excessive on top of the charges we already paid for the hotel. Knoxville is strictly a money making town for not just residents, but tourists. You had to pay just about everywhere for parking and handicapped people should not have to pay to park. I needed parking to be convenient for me as I have asthma and balance issues walking. As to the staff, they were the most professional kind folks I have encountered in a hotel in a long time. Check in was seamless and the gal that attended to us Monique was a true gem. The breakfast was excellent. The room was fine,"

"Im not sure what you are paying for . . . You are on the same street as other 3-4 star hotels. There was nothing that stood out about this hotel. The staff was okay. The room was unique. One irritating thing, there were no clear signs for pricing on the fridge or near the snacks. And I assumed for $500+ a night in knoxville, a bag of chips and a coke would be complimentary. I thought that was part of what you were paying for. Again. Nice hotel. Staff fine. Bed was weird though. And ill also say, you are on a main drag. It is a loud area. It is an old building. They could offer ear plugs on the bedside table, that I am sure theyd charge you $5 for using. "
