Absolutely enjoyed 10 days on this historic property! The property is adjacent to the fortress and the hotel is a converted Soldiers barracks. A sense of tranquility and peacefulness surrounds you when you walk around the property. The property is well maintained and oversees the city of Halden. The staff made my family feel like home. The staff were professional and kind; they made us feel welcomed. The staff checked on our family when we were off the property for over 24 hours to ensure we were ok and safe. The daily breakfast buffet was delicious with an array of local, organic, cold and hot items. The dining area is clean and have the best lasagna on their dinner menu. We plan to return to Norway and plan to return to the Fredriksten!

Hurra for Fredriksten festning

Fint å bo på Hotel Fredriksten festning. Små rom i den gamle kasernen, men rent og ordentlig. Gode senger. Veldig god frokostbuffet med mye hjemmelaget mat av god kvalitet! Også økologiske alternativer. Hyggelige og oppmerksomme ansatte.

Mitt nylige opphold på hotellet var preget av både positive og forbedringsverdige aspekter. Rommet var relativt kompakt, men dette ble oppveid av særdeles komfortable og myke senger som ga et behagelig hvilemiljø. Personalet utmerket seg med vennlighet og profesjonell service, noe som bidro sterkt til en positiv totalopplevelse. 🍽️ Frokosttilbudet hadde et bredt og smakfullt utvalg, tilpasset ulike preferanser. Et punkt som imidlertid bør adresseres, er hygienetiltakene ved buffeten. Det anbefales på det sterkeste at hånddesinfisering blir gjort tilgjengelig, samt at serveringsklyper plasseres på egne asjetter ved siden av matfatene. Dette tiltaket vil redusere risikoen for smitte.

Helt ok, men varmt rum

Väldigt varmt på rummet ,gick inte att ställa in temperaturen. Hade hjälpt med åtminstone en fläkt om inte AC finns. Mycket ljud utifrån under natten, vet inte om det var motorcyklar eller fyrhjulingar, men högljudda var de. Trevlig personal, fint läge, helt ok frukost. Hade nog varit mer positiv till även rummet om det inte varit för värmen.

Veldig fint hotell. Vi hadde 4 manns rom og var veldig fornøyd med rommet. Både størrelsen og renholdet. Eneste vi savnet var kjøleskap på rommet. Vi kommer nok tilbake ved en senere anledning.

Ubehagelige højttalende fulde gæster i baren. Ville gerne have nydt et glas vin, men forlod baren af den grund. Iøvrigt et meget dejligt sted med service i top. Meget sød receptionist 10/7 om aftenen. Lækker morgenbuffet. Dog ikke så synligt personale i restauranten. Måtte selv finde tjener, da kaffe automaten var tom. Fantastisk beliggenhed.
