What’s not to like about all things Viking! The restaurant is top notch! You may even be serenaded! Our friend said it was kitschy but we respectfully disagree. Profound respect for Viking history and lore, we loved it! When I say “we” my wife and I! Great accommodations especially “the rooms of the gods”. Loved it all!

Small but comfortable room if you don’t have a lot of luggage. Very nice amenities great water pressure. Nice small bathtub but good enough for a quick soak. If you’re tourist and curious about the Vikings is a bit kitchie, but very fun. Missed the opportunity to eat at the Viking restaurant, but the breakfast was quite good.

Staff were amazing and accommodating with an early check in. Bed was super comfy. It was pretty quiet for the most part but I could hear the person in the room next to me snoring the whole night. Room was also warm with no air conditioning or window to open. But otherwise, would stay again! Breakfast had a lot of options and was yummy.

I am sure when it is full in the summer it will be less quiet. It was a great location as a base for our exploration and has loads of interesting Viking artifacts. Room was small but sufficient, breakfast was nice, they made us a sandwich we picked up the second morning because we had to leave to get to the airport before breakfast. Hot pool was great after a long day of walking and driving. Everyone spoke English really well. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Iceland!

The decor of the hotel was beautiful. The Viking Theme was excellent. The service was excellent. The rooms were clean. The rooms are not huge, but are comfortable. I would call it a quant, clean, Inn. The Hotel has a sauna and a small hot tub. There is also an attached restaurant that serves excellent food. I had a great time staying at the hotel.

Struttura molto carina e accogliente, per il prezzo pagato va benissimo, c'è stato solo un problema credo con expedia sulla prenotazione, io avevo prenotato una camera da letto e ci hanno fatto un cottage (che era super carino) con 6 letti singoli e siamo in due, abbiamo chiesto se era possibile avere una camera matrimoniale ma a quanto pare l'hotel era tutto occupato. La colazione è semplice ma con le cose necessarie, non un tripudio ecco ma c'era tutto. la location comoda, comodo il parcheggio, abbiamo mangiato nel loro ristorante che fortunatamente chiude alle 10. Comodo anche il fatto di poter fare check-in a qualsiasi ora. Nel complesso raccomandato per chi vuole un alloggio vicino a Reykjavik economico e carino.

The property definitely involed the viking ambience feel in the rooms and common areas. However, the family rooms were quite s m all with no adequate spaces to put suitcases. We lived out of ours for 10 days. All the beds were uncomfortable really need to upgraded. Just putting a foam top does jit f I rrect a bad bed.

Great location, walkable to dinning. Room was small but comfortable. Very clean. One of our favorite nights in Iceland. Only complaint tub/shower is very tall and some people would have a hard time getting in and out.

Only 4 parking spaces at the hotel due to renovations. Had to park a block away. Reception staff very nice and extra helpful. Breakfast staff not very nice, did not smile at all. Room was small but really nice.

War ein schöner Aufenthalt, diesmal nicht im Haupthaus sondern in einer der Hütten. Diese sind etwas hellhörig und der Abfluss der Dusche lief nicht gut. Dafür aber gemütlich und schön warm. Alles andere war auch wie beim ersten Aufenthalt super! Entspannt in die Sauna am Abend, danach noch Nordlichter gesehen - dafür sind wir nur ein Stückchen raus gefahren. Frühstück hat eine gute Auswahl!

C’est un hôtel à attrape touriste ! Notre dernière hôtel en Islande et de loin le pire !! La chambre est miniature , la cuvette des toilettes est cassée, la douche est rikiki. Les machines à laver tournent toute la nuit et bien sûr on entend tout ! Le petit déjeuner ne rattrape rien du tout , il est très peu fourni. A fuir absolument ! La décoration est sympa que dans les parties communes de l’hôtel. Je ne parle pas du bain à bulle c’est une patinoire au vu du nombre de client.

hi im sorry that this was your experience here with us. you booked a small standard room, but we also have alot of other rooms, like bigger rooms. I really wish that you had come to us and told us about these things then we could have changed the rooms and fixed your room. hope you have a good day

The Fridge in the room was a little noisy during the night and early mornings. The restaurant is very very expensive! The fish tasted burnt they charge nearly £ 3.50 for a glass of water from a pump. The staff were nice and spoke good English but do not help you with excursions!

Superbe hôtel, la chambre moins
L'hôtel en lui-même est extrêmement sympathique, et nous emmène à une autre époque, les Spa et Sauna depaysent et le restaurant et son personnels permettent d'avoir une expérience unique. Cependant les chambres sont un peu vétustes et peu spacieuses, sans âme, très surprenant lorsqu'on voit le reste de l'établissement.

The style of Viking hotel is amazing, it seems you are in a Viking house. Very good experience.

We had a cottage between 3 of us and was amazing with plenty of space. The main hotel and restaurant about a 30 second walk with access to the hot tub and sauna. We were very happy with our choice. Staff were amazing as well. So glade we stayed here and not the capital centre.

Cozy and original
The staff was friendly and welcoming in both the hotel and restaurant. The included breakfast had a very tasty and wide selection of options, which was great way to fuel up before our outdoor adventures

The staff are all very nice and accommodating. Our kudos to the 2 front desk personnel. They’re helpful and gave us information around the area. The breakfast buffet was also wonderful!

Great Hotel with typically Viking-Interior - great restaurant, nice , welltasting meals, haven´t seen a Viking hotel in whole Iceland! Would defintily chose this hotel for another holidaystay in Iceland near Reykjavik!

Unique place, nice hot pot and sauna, comfortable beds, nice room with a view, breakfast was not so fresh and diverse tho
