An early winter's afternoon walk along Hadrian's Wall near Whin Rigg.
Open space, history and green rolling hills, Bliss.
Walking the Hadrian's wall path from East to West coast was undoubtedly was one of the greatest experiences to date. Doing it solo and self guided helped my confidence and I learned so much about the people that call this area home.
Great walk #Northumberland

We seen the wall when we visited the Housestead Roman fort ruins. A bit of a trek to see the wall, which is uphill & took us 15 minutes to get to the actual fort entrance.

If you are walking the top part across Sycamore Gap to Housesteads then you need good walking boots and poles. Views are stunning.
