"I tried to cancel a few hours after booking, but because I booked the same day, the employee told me I could not cancel. So, I checked in, while he listened to music on his earpods. As everyone said, the walls really are almost paper-thin. You can hear every single word of the television show that the person next to you is watching. So, you can bet that whoever is in the room over can also hear any conversation you might be having. I couldn't see the surrounding area well because I arrived late...

"Great hotel to stay at. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very nice. Perfect hootel if traveling with a pet."

"The hotel was lovely. We worried about noise from Bourbon St, but we had a room on the courtyard looking down at the pool and it was very quiet. My friend used the heated saltwater pool every day. The only down sides were that we couldn’t open the windows, there was a loud vent fan in the bathroom that took a long time to go off and the light in the shower didn’t work. But I would definitely consider staying there again next time I’m in New Orleans."

"It is a classic old school hotel with an incredibly helpful staff. The Carousel Lounge is so much fun. Hard to get a seat on Friday or Saturday, but worth the wait if you can finally get in. My wife wanted a nice souvenir of our trip and called to ask if she could buy the logoed trash can in our room. They didn't even treat that as the crazy request it was and sold it to her. Can't say enough good things about our 3 night stay."

"The room was just as I expected it. It was nice, quiet, clean and spacious. Just steps away from bourbon street without the noise. The front door kitties are nice. The staff are super helpful and nice as well. The only drawback was my hubby is 6'5" and he had to duck some in the bathroom and shower. That is the nature of older buildings though."

"The room that I was given was too small. For the price that was paid for being on the beach, the room is expected to be an average size. This was not. Also, the walls are paper thin, literally. You could hear EVERY MOVEMENT AND WORD that was said from outside and adjoining rooms. Recommendation is a last resort. "

"Our friends recommended The Palace as they stayed there and enjoyed it. It is a non-smoking Casino Resort which was great. The nightly rate was so affordable too which is rare these days for a Casino. The staff were all great! We recommend going to The Cafe for the coffee, pastries and sandwiches! So good! The pool area is a interesting trek to get to. But once there is very nice. The Roof top setting at night is beautiful. The bed and pillows are very comfortable which is important to us. We...

"Very clean. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Good breakfast, REAL EGGS not powdered!! Nice, clean pool. It wss fun to imagine what the place was like back in it's heyday when Marilyn Monroe and Robert Kenedy walked the halls. Tge history of the place adds to the charm. I brought a friend who only stays in Hiltons.... they would absolutely book here again!! That is the HIGHEST compliment!"
