"We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Barcelo Carmen hotel in Granada with our family UNTIL the last morning, when we woke up and discovered a leak under the bathroom sink that soaked all of our toiletries and clothing items we had stored on the shelf under the sink.
Rather than taking the final morning walk as we had planned before catching the train, we had to spend time that morning individually drying off all the items as we didn't want to bring wet items with us.
When I informed the manager Paula at checkout about our experience with the leak, and the inconvenience it caused us as well as lost time to take a final morning walk in Granada before going to the train station, Paula provided no accommodation. She said since nothing was permanently damaged she could provide no discount. I think the least she could have done would have been to comp the couple of drinks we had ordered at the rooftop bar the day before. I was taken aback by Paula's lack of customer service and not understanding that a bathroom sink leak is unacceptable and the hotel guests should not bear the burden of the leak with no accommodation.
Otherwise we had a lovely stay at the property, and until this incident happened, I would have recommended the hotel - especially the family guest room if traveling with kids. The breakfast was also great. But the lack of consideration towards the guest experience definitely makes me pause before recommending this hotel to anyone else....lest anything go wrong!"
