"Free breakfast was nothing to write home about. Pancake machine didn't cook them properly. Scrambled eggs seemed like they were from powered eggs. Bacon was over cooked. The coffee was good and freshly made per cup. I booked my room through Expedia. When I checked out, the clerk would not give me a receipt or tell me what the total was on my bill. She was also pretty rude when I attempted to push the issue stating it was my credit card she was using. Probably won't go back. There are many other...

"We always stay here when we travel to Elko. Always a great stay, staff is nice and accommodating."

"Dont be fooled like I was- the only part that has been updates at this hotel is the Lobby and what you mainly see in the photos. The room youll be staying in looks smells and feels like motel 6. My entire room smelled like axe body spray and the towels, bed spread and sheets also had an odd odor. Dont be bambozzled like I was lol"

"Definitely not sound proof. The rooms were fine but the hotel is on a busy intersection and the noise is VERY hard to sleep through. Not the hotels fault, but don’t recommend if you need sleep or are a light sleeper."

"Good Hotel, Big room"

"This is our go to place to stay in Elko, I love telling people about it because it’s a hidden gem!"

"First the TV did not work then after a long night of gambling and parting are keys did not work, not once but twice we had to go to the front desk to get them replaced."

"Front desk person was very helpful"

"If I could give zero stars I would. I got into my room, late check in. Man who I don’t think even worked there had his bare feet up on the desk. He had to go to the back and get the receptionist. An extremely poorly kept and disgusting lady came out and was none too kind about getting me to my room. I get into my room. No lights and it was HOT. I turned on the AC and immediately left to get dinner. I get back and it’s hotter than it was before. The AC didn’t work. Plus the unit was half torn...

"Clean room breakfast saff was great"

"I like the American Inn however after building heat went out, then power went out, and I saw a mouse in my room, I am going to try a different hotel on my next trip in Elko."

"Best price in town, discounts the longer you stay. Centered in a good location in town."

"Some rooms have a certain smell to them. None of the rooms are maintained. I’ve stayed here probably 10 times over the last 5 years or so and I won’t be returning. Half of the lights in the rooms don’t work. Opening the door to a room for the first time is really scary cause you don’t know what you’re going to find. My shower wouldn’t turn off during one stay. The response from staff was that I’ll have to find a room at another hotel for the night. Some of the air conditioning units in the rooms...

"Place was rundown, minimal staff"
