"This is a hidden gem. Yes, it is a shared bathroom, and as an American that was strange to me, but it was a private one and well maintained, with toiletries provided. My bedroom had a sink which was also useful. It's <10 minutes walking to the train station which is also nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to leave my luggage with them after checkout"

"Myself, mother and sister shared the family room which was comfortable and spacious. We felt at home straight away, which was largely down to the staff who were welcoming and friendly. They were efficient and professional while still maintaining a very helpful and personable approach. The breakfasts were very organised, offered a range of options that could be customised to suit all preferences. We had the full breakfast which was cooked to perfection, good quality and very filling. Everything...

"The breakfasts were very good different and well cooked and presented, the buffet had the usual but also water with lemons and homemade jams, fruit and yoghurts. But the homemade bread was fabulous. The only fault I could point out was that the duvet was very heavy, which is my preference for a lighter duvet."

"The food for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was fabulous! The rooms were tired although the bed was great some of the furniture needed updating. There was noise all night from a boiler (I think) which kept me awake. Overall a pleasant stay but a bit too pricey for the room stay."
