"Another great break at the briers. Ive stayed in the slieve donard, the avoca and the donard. The briers is easily my favourite. Beautiful surroundings, clean rooms, friendly and hospitable staff. Excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again before the end of the summer."

"Lovely apartment. We had a really nice few days here. No allocated parking, but we never had a problem finding a space close by. Good to have a shop so close (literally under our feet.) "At check in we were greeted and walked to our room. We were a little early for our reservation and we were allowed right in. Owner showed us around and was incredibly friendly. Other visitors told us some great hiking locations to check out. Continental breakfast laid out nicely. Beautiful view of Mourne Mountains. "

"Truly an exceptional hotel. I grew up in the area and it has continued its history of providing an experience that excels (locals just call it “The Slieve”). The amenities are fantastic with the spa facilities, snooker room, drawing room for a peaceful morning. Breakfast in the main dining area with views of the Mounre Mountains is an experience itself. We hosted a family dinner in JJ Farrell’s food and service exceptional"

"I stayed in Newcastle for three nights and was incredibly fortunate to choose Drummer Lodge. The location, surrounding environment, and the room’s facilities can only be described as excellent and delightful—absolutely fantastic! The hostess, Fiona, and her husband, Perry, are both extremely friendly and warm, making you feel right at home in no time. At dawn, the chirping birds under the giant Scottish pine trees gently wake you from a restful night’s sleep, as the distant mountains emerge from the morning mist. As a traveler, after a refined and delicious breakfast and a cup of hot coffee, what better place could there be to recharge your energy and embrace a new day? Ready for your Tee time.
