"I really wanted to like this property. From the pictures it looked like the perfect little getaway. It was far from that. It was hell for a week. The deluxe suite was nothing further from old, dirty, musty and hot. The AC wasn’t working. The paint in the kitchen was peeling off the walls with mould, the AC was old and not working properly, it just couldn’t cool the rooms. "It is understated how amazing the location is. I cannot imagine a better place to stay. The room was impeccable. Everything was pristine and truly beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everything felt new. The staff were really helpful. They coordinated parking and check-in. I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Matera."
