The pool was lovely and warm even in the middle of winter, rooms were spacious and quiet. The buffet breakfast was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.
Despite the dry and dull atmosphere resulting from its ageing condition, this property still deserves a rating of four out of five. It is a good retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, and a short walk to Geelong Botanical Garden and the waterfront. More importantly, the king-room accommodation we booked for two nights was good value for money. For a modest price, we enjoyed the comfort of a clean room with en-suite , a king-size bed and a complimentary breakfast. The hotel restaurant served delicious and tasty Thai food for dinner especially the massaman beef curry. Reception and customer service were also commendable.
This is the second time we have stayed at Eden Oak. Different rooms on both occasions but happy with the rooms as a family of 5. Clean, good breakfast and great location.
This place is amazing! Such a tranquil location. Perfectly renovated rooms and the heated pool and spa was like being in an overseas resort! The breakfast was delicious too!
The room was fairly average and quite small, with limited space to move around, especially considering it had two double beds.
The breakfast selection was also quite limited. The only fresh fruit available was bananas and apples, and even these were provided in small quantities. There were no desserts or pastries, apart from pre-made pancakes.
The hot food selection was basic, consisting mainly of scrambled eggs, bacon, fried rice, hash browns and beans. Overall, the breakfast lacked the variety I would normally expect from a hotel breakfast.
