The property was as described and yet a little underwhelming given the price relative to other hotels I looked at same/higher price range. They did not give notice that there was major construction next door to our side of hotel, not would they offer discount. But the location across from beach was great. And while you are technically not supposed to swim (no life guard), there were a few. But the view and walking trail through woods between beach and hotel was very nice..and not a far walk to Gyeongpodae Beach. Location was quiet/remote - good if you have car, not great if you don’t. If you want nightlife/restaurants within east walk, stay near Gyeongpodae beach

Highly recommended Avvio hotel in Gangneung.

I stayed in Avvio hotel for 2 nights in the early of Jan 2023. It was such a beautiful room with view towards the sea and pine tree. Inside this room, there was a cozy corner where you could relax. Especially, the receptionist (Ms. Jisoo) of this hotel is very kind and helpful. She really supported me to get my phone back when I accidentally lost it in the taxi. Many thanks to her hospitality which makes my trip memorable in Gangneung.

A great suite - what a view

I stayed in one of the corner suites. The view was outstanding. Even better than the image on the website. The room was large and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, as were the chairs. I didn't watch the TV as I was reading and just looking at the view. I like this hotel because it is just across from an undeveloped, unspoilt, and very quiet stretch of beach - the nicest I have seen in Gangneung and probably the nicest I have personally experienced in South Korea. As a result, I spent a fair amount of time on the beach. Unfortunately, a huge development is being built next door to the hotel. I hope it doesn't ruin this area of beach, but I am doubtful. Breakfast was a do-shi-rack/bento box to be eaten in the room. This was surprising, but it was tasty nonetheless. The room was not the cleanest though. Dusty in parts and even a bit of dried seaweed on the bedside table. However, I really enjoyed my stay overall. I was sad to leave the suite due to the view and the amount of natural light. I hope to go back soon. Note - they are very strict with check in time - no check in before 3pm. This is a quiet area. I have seen some Koreans complain about this, but it is the reason I like it. Also, as a solo foreigner there were not really any dining options that appealed to me. Seafood is king here. However, there is a decent convenience store a few minutes walk away. I had a cup ramen sitting outside. Good times

소나무숲과 바다가 어우러진 뷰가 아름다워서 보고 있는 것만으로도 힐링이었어요. 방 크기가 작으나 10만원대의 가격이라면 감안할만 합니다. 다만, 화장실 수압이 약해도 너무 약해요. 저녁-오전까지 변기 물 내려가는 소리가 안 들릴 정도로 약합니다. 휴지는 아예 안 내려가요. 그래서인지 냄새도 나고..빨리 개선되길 바랍니다.

컴팩트하면서도 고급스러움을 유지하는 가성비 호텔

필요한 것만 컴팩트하게 갖춰져 있었고 내부 인테리어도 깔끔하면서 에르메스 느낌의 고급스러움을 갖춰서 좋았음...주변 식당도 걸어서 갈 수 있는 곳에 여러가지 음식을 맛볼 수 있었고 바로 앞에 소나무 방풍림을 따라 걸을 수 있는 길과 해변을 걸을 수 있는 위치여서 좋았음 ..결론적으로 가성비가 매우 훌륭함

룸컨디션, 청결도, 인테리어 제품 모두 청결하고 심플하고 좋습니다. 706호 기준 파노라마 오션뷰로 방에서 일출이 보여요. 조식도 할인받아 13,000원이었는데 그 가격이 맞나 싶을만큼 훌륭했어요.다만 옆에 호텔이 들어오는지 공사중이라 다소 시끄럽고 주변에 식당이나 편의시설이 아직은 부족한 점이 살짝 아쉽습니다. 그래도 옆에 대형호텔 완공후엔 편의시설이 채워질테고 현재 가성비를 유지한다면 아주 좋은 선택지가 될 것 같습니다

Très bon accueil. Parking gratuit. Belle chambre 501 avec vue mer et balcon. Rooftop avec vue mais il n'est pas entretenu et on ne peut pas en profiter. Petit déjeuner basique. Grand construction en cours actuellement juste à côté mais sans nuisance sonore.

바다뷰 말고는 모두 아쉬움이 많았음.

양쪽 통창으로 바다를 직관할 수 있는 경치는 최고였음. 하지만 바로 옆에 건설이 이뤄지고 있어서 창문 커텐을 활짝 펼수가 없었고, 옆에 건설이 이뤄지니 차량에 먼지도 많이 쌓임 (지상주차장) 생각보다 주차장이 협소해서 놀랐음. 서비스도 호텔이라고 볼수 없을 정도로 별루였고, 내가 이용한 층 복도는 천장에서 물이 떨어지고 있었고, 복도에서 냄새가 좋지 않았음.... 아무리 비가 많이 왔다고 해도 왠지 무방비 상태로 그냥 놔두는 느낌? 조식은 생각보다 간편하게 먹기 좋았어요. 바다뷰와 바로 앞에 걸어서 3분거리에 해변가로 갈수 있어서 물놀이 좋아한다면 추천. (다만 저희는 파도가 좀 커서 아이와 모래놀이 위주로만 했네요...)

바다뷰랑 청결상태 매우 만족스럽습니다. 밤에 갑자기 감기기윤이 있어 프론투에 상비약 문의해보니 잘 챙겨주시더라구요. 조식도 호텔 규모 생각하면 만족스러운 정도였습니다. 다음에 또 오고 싶을 것 같습니다! 다만, 냉장고랑 내선전화가 제대로 작동되지 않은 부분은 조금 아쉬웠습니다.
