Great location, room was not so good

Friendly staff. But the apartment was full of black mold in shower/bathroom. Floors were dusty and full of hair, bed sheets had stains of dried blood. Location was good though

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Pool und großzügigen Appartements. Schade, dass wegen der Nebensaison die Bar nicht mehr offen hatte, trotz ordentlicher Belegung. Das Frühstück fanden wir etwas teuer.

Sehr schöner und ruhiger Ort um richtig abzuschalten. Schöner sauberer Pool mit ausreichend Liegen. Tolle Landschaft. Die Wohnungen bieten ausreichend Platz und sind sauber. Wir hatten einen Familienappartment mit zwei Bädern und großen Wohnzimmer mit offener Küche. In der Küche waren alle notwendigen Utensilien vorhanden. Hinsichtlich Ausstattung gab es Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, Wäscheständer und sogar ein Grill. Praktisch war auch die Sitzmöglichkeit auf der Terasse, wo wir auch gerne gefrühstückt oder gegessen haben. Einzig die Mücken sind lästig, so dass man sich immer mit Mückenschutzcreme eincremen muss. Daher wären in einigen Fenstern Netze sehr hilfreich gewesen. Wie einige Gäste zuvor kommentiert haben, ist der letzte Abschnitt des Weges nicht gut ausgebaut aber ich habe es schlimmer erwartet. Der Abschnitt ist nicht lang, so dass es bei langsamer Fahrt auch nicht wesentlich länger dauert. Das Restaurant war gut besucht und hat z.T. eine extravagante Auswahl. Viele Einheimische waren dort zum Speisen. Wir waren nur einen Abend dort essen. Für die Kinder war es nicht so begeisternd. Herzlichen Dank auch an unsere Gastgeber, die sehr nett und freundlich waren. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicherlich wieder mal dort Urlaub machen.

Suveränt lite undanskymt hotell i Toscana. Rummet är mycket vackert och allt är tiptop rent. Mycket serviceminded personal. Restaurangen mycket bra ena kvällen DN andra tappade de fokus och han inte med, men maten mycket bra.

Himmlischer Aufenthalt in der Toskana

Wer einmal dort war, möchte nicht mehr weg. Die Anlage liegt in einer wunderbaren Umgebung, mit einzelnen Häusern und einem Haupthaus. Im Haupthaus sind die Zimmer. Wir hatten ein Superior Doppelzimmer Nr. 6, ein Turmzimmer im typischen toskanischen Stil eingerichtet. Die Freundlichkeit aller ist toll, vor allem Valentina, die uns sehr herzlich empfangen, uns sofort das Zimmer gezeigt und uns prima über alles informiert hat. Aber auch Christina, die vorab alle Wünsche per E-Mail erfüllt hat, ist sehr freundlich und kann auch perfekt deutsch sprechen. Als einziger negativer Punkt ist vielleicht der Anfahrtsweg zu bewerten, der gewöhnungsbedürftig ist, da dieser teilweise steile Abschnitte hat und das ein oder andere Schlagloch sollte man schon beachten. Aber nach einer Weile gewöhnt man sich daran. Zu erwähnen ist auch das prima Frühstück, das wir draußen genießen durften, mit Blick auf das Tal. Auch dort war das Personal sehr nett, die Wünsche wurden einem von den Augen abgelesen. Kurzum, alles perfekt, wir kommen gerne wieder !!!!

Beautiful, idyllic retreat!

I hope to return to the wonder Sant'Lario! I really enjoyed the warm hospitality, the variety and quality of home cooking at breakfast, quaint and romantic setting, the enchanting walk to the pool through forest trees and past a field of sunflowers, the clean and spacious room, the location (an hour from Florence and close to beautiful villages such as Volterra and San Gimignano) and the luxurious touches that made the holiday for special e.g. Seating area overlooking Sant'Larrio vineyard and cosy night lighting. The owner was extremely friendly and spoke excellent English. She had good local knowledge and was very willing to help me with any queries. Me and my partner's time in Tuscany was very memorable and thanks for making our first visit so special.

Above and Beyond helpful

The owners were so helpful -we were on a walking holiday and so without transport and when I injured my ankle had to order a taxi for dinner in the town - they phoned around and then decided it was too expensive and lent us their car for the evening. The setting is simply fabulous and sipping white wine while the sun went down was a highlight of our holiday. I can't recommend Tenuta sant'ilario highly enough

Superbe endroit pour decouvrir la toscane
