Pet friendly, good value and location with onsite parking. Good to be able to support student accomodation and students overall
Rooms were plenty comfortable, staff couldn’t do more for you. Needed a couple of extra pillows and they brought them straight away. Kettle broke, and they brought a new one up straight away too.
Lovely campus, nice apartment, not too far from town, definitely can’t complain for the price!

This property is brand new and in mint condition. It’s walkable to Galway City center, but it’s a long walk. I recommend the bus which is clean, inexpensive and runs frequently. This place was a great option for families with teens.
I stayed at the Dunlin Village dormitory. It's set of very new buildings and everything was very clean and well maintained. There was a cluster of 4 private ensuite dorm rooms around a shared communal living space - kitchen area. I was a bit wary of booking here because several people had mentioned that it was very loud at night, however, since they didn't book anyone in my cluster, there was no noise at all. I didn't use the communal space very much as I was mostly out exploring the city, but it was nice to use the hot water kettle and fridge to keep leftovers. I rented a car, and there was a free car park just a few minutes walk away. I also had decent wifi in my room. There was a 24hr laundry room on the premises which was really convenient! The only drawback would be proximity to city center. It's a very lovely 25min walk if the weather is nice, or 15min bus ride (runs every 30mins), which costs about 2 Euros. With a Leap transit card, which was easy to procure in town, it costs only 1.50 Euros. It's very congested and difficult to drive in city center. I'm very happy that I stayed at the Galway Uni dorms instead.

Very interesting to stay in a university dorm room. The room was clean, not cramped but also not spacious. It is not luxury accommodation, nor is it roughing it.
The personnel were friendly and helpful.
The cafe/ restaurant was a little hike to another building but easy enough to do. We would do this again.

Good for 18 yr olds who want to party … noise 24 hours a day and loud! Forget sleep. Individual dorm rooms with double bed against a wall … tough for 2 people. We booked a 3 bed/3 bath thinking it would be an appt … it was 5 dorm bedrooms - we could access 3 and a common room. No one else with us but as it cost more than a hotel .. far from worth it. Would not recommend unless you’re a young adult looking to stay up. Also no amenities… 2 towels, no hair dryer.

A major mistake
I booked "University of Galway Apartments" thinking that I would get an apartment. My wife teaches a summer course at Galway and my son and I stayed with her in her four-bedroom apartment last year. Much to my surprise, this year my son and I didn't get an apartment ... we got a single dormitory room in Dunlin Village. A single dormitory room with a small bed and a chair and nothing else. No coffeemaker, no nothing. Just towels, soap, body wash. Amazingly, this was billed as a "deluxe" accommodation, and the cost was comparable to that of a three-star hotel. It is the single biggest booking mistake I have made, though in my defense I was misled by the photo, which suggested that the apartment would be an apartment. I made other arrangements, but that's a bunch of money I will never get back.
