"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."

"The room was clean and spacious. Has the usual complimentary hot drinks, hairdryer and also an iron and ironingboard. A choice of scrambled eggs, beans, bacon along witk a good range for a continental breakfast, served early from 6am both Saturday and Sunday, useful as I had to be a the event from 7.30am. Helpful, pleasant staff. Enjoyed my stay. Also this hotel was walking distance (5 mins) from the Telford indoor shopping centre where there was a large range of shops and places to eat."

"Great little find, staff were super helpful. There was parking at the hotel, albeit only a few spaces, room was quiet and clean. I can’t believe it was so cheap for one night and in a great location for Shrewsbury, only a 10 min walk over the bridge. I would say the bed wasn’t super comfortable and the pillows were not to my liking. Due to the hot weather the room wasn’t that well ventilated but a fan was provided which was welcome. "Despite a lack of dedicated parking, the Parking is plentiful with an NCP directly opposite. Room and public areas are immaculate. The staff were very welcoming and the cooked breakfast was excellent, less so the continental choice."

"Just got home after a lovely stay at Rowton Castle. The staff were amazing could not do enough for you. Food was good and excellently presented. The grounds were amazingly kept. First visit but definitely not the last."

"The staff were fabulous, both leading up to our stay when they helped me with some surprises for my friend, and during our stay when nothing was too much trouble! I was able to order an extra package of fizz and flowers, which were placed in one of our rooms upon arrival, together with the banner that I sent ahead. THANKS"

"Excellent countryside hotel located in a historic rustic Manor House with good facilities and parking and only 15 minutes away from Shrewsbury town centre. My room was clean with lovely antique furniture and countryside view and had a decent size for a single person although other rooms appear bigger on the map and on photos. Reception staff were very helpful and kind! Highly recommended."

"Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again. Nice little touch of takeaway cups if you want to leave with a coffee lived this. Only thing is the pillows where a little to firm for me. "Beautiful grounds on arrival and very impressed. Unfortunately, receptionist was very condescending because we had booked through expedia therefore no fee spa access! We weren't told where anything was or what we had to do for breakfast or how to get to our room!! Room was a distance away and smelt a bit, but lovely comfortable bed and massive shower. We used the bar for food but really not impressed! One of the dishes tasted funny, and we found out it had been fried in hazelnut oil which was...
