"The breakfast was, I’d say, better than in a Hotel Ibis. The food was, definitely, locally sourced. We reached Bruton and the Hauser & Wirth arts complex easily from this hotel. We also visited the Jurassic Coast, but that took us a whole day, and we returned by 10pm."

"Stayed for 3 nights. Parking at the rear always available, From 'check in' onwards the staff were pleasant, helpful and professional, including carrying our bags to the first floor room. The double room was quite spacious, with it's own short 'hall' to the bath/shower room and door to the main hotel landing, so you enter into a short hall and not straight into the bedroom, nice touch. The room was clean, nicely set out, comfortable and well equipped. The only downside to the room was creaky...

"I arrived 15 min early and they wanted to charge me 20 pounds for early checkin. Called for extra towels and they did not deliver. Went to the front desk to ask for towels and they said that they did not have any available."

"This is a single room detached building beside the host’s house and it is absolutely delightful. The bed is comfy, the bathroom has lots of big fluffy towels, there is coffee and tea in the room. The weather was warm while we were there but there is cross ventilation and a fan, and we were able to enjoy breakfast outside in the beautiful garden. I would highly recommend this for a couple wanting a quiet place to stay that is convenient to explore the Salisbury area."

"The George is a really cute historic inn that is situated in a quiet, magical little village - it is literally right across the street from the ruin of a Norman castle. While you need to leave town to get to Frome or Bath, the bus stop is located right outside the inn. It has a friendly little pub that serves good food and is frequented by guests and locals. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were basic but clean. There is no air conditioning but we had a fan which was adequate. It felt...

"Extremely friendly and courteous staff, in particular the lady who checked us in and the breakfast team. The hotel is being systematically renovated and the public areas are of a high standard. Our room was clean and well maintained and whilst the bathroom was clean and functional it would have benefited from being renovated. That said, there was nothing seriously wrong with it. "Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. Will be staying there again on my way to Devon"

"This was a lovely place that I would go to again and again. The hotel itself was stunning, the staff were very helpful and thoughtful, and the food was fantastic. The only concern is the stairs are uneven, so just be careful if you’re unsteady. Other than that, delightful experience."
