My one suggestion is to refill coffee pods- they are not super expensive and I would rather pay more for room than have to buy from the reception each time- that is a tacky move. "The staff were mostly friendly and helpful if in somewhat small supply. Pool bar on 6th floor barely staffed and not actually by pool. Had to ring to reception to get someone to come up and serve. The decor was a little tired and outdated. Cover to toilet flush fell off although it was quickly put right by the time we came back around lunch - clearly cleaning crew reported it and had it fixed. "Hotel is beautiful and in a perfect location! I believe it is fairly new or recently renovated. So many restaurants and shops right outside the front door. Staff very friendly and helpful. "We stayed here as we wanted to see the monastery, the hotel was good, clean and helpful staff. Our problem was we stayed on a Monday, there were very few restaurants open in the evening near by - except one opposite which we used but was on the expensive side. The Monastery was shut on Mondays too so very little else to do, so we used the spa facilities which were good and we had to ourselves !"

"There was absolutely nothing special about Hotel Do Chiado. The location however was fantastic. The rooms were clean. Upon arrival, we were gifted two stale pastries, when we asked for extra water we were only allowed one bottle at a time. Our television did not work. The furniture on the roof was dirty. "Had a wonderful time in this hotel. Perfect location and close to all amenities. The station is a short walk however, you don’t have to go anywhere as the area has everything you need. The ambience of the location was fab. Always hustle and bustle with live performances which was only a short walk from the hotel. Night time was peaceful in room. Staff were friendly and very accommodating."
