"As former visitors of the Colony House before our move to Roanoke, we were thrilled the motel was saved and renovated in a return to its former glory. We and some friends staycationed there this past week, and had a glorious time. The AGM greeted us warmly, made us feel welcome from the minute we entered the checkin. "Was on a solo motorcycle tour. Likes; very convenient to “Mayberry” touristy locations, lol, hot breakfast was good, staff are very responsive ( had a moth fly in, couldn’t reach it, they sent a staff member, catch and release, lol). Dislikes; not a total biggie deal breaker. Retired now, but worked construction back in the day, so I get it, lol. There were construction crews staying all over. I had neighbors 2 doors down.
