"We circumnavigated Sicily in 10 days and stayed in 6 different towns. Siracusa was our last sightseeing stop. We chose to stay in Floridia to give easy access to the Catania airport for an early flight. Of all our lodging spots, B&B Mediterraneo was the least prepared for our arrival and provided the lowest level of service. It is actually a suite of rooms on the 3rd floor of an apartment building. "place okay. Bit early in season. Everything at the accommodation closed at 7pm. Didn’t open again until breakfast at 0730am. Nowhere else to hang as main reception area closed at 1930so confined to pokey room or outside in cold. We were offered a bigger better room at an extra 20e a night on check in which came over as ours was bit rubbish! -which it was ! It was a 15 min drive to Avola on a dodgy road. Little to see in Avola - sea front area was ok but little there due to time of year. Room...
