"The property was clean and comfortable and the staff were very accomadating,breakfast was included in the Price of the Room, there was a good Range to choose from, Full english, yoghurts , fruit, cereals, toast , Jams , marmalades, Marmite , fruit juices, teas and coffee. We were only staying for the Weekend, so were exploring the surrounding area as we had not been there before and did not spend too much time in the hotel, but as the Weekend passed I started to notice more of the charm of the Hotel. It had a rear garden and a front garden across the road from the hotel ,overlooking the seafront. The Hotel Itself is an older building, but its decor looked to be quite fresh. The showers and bathrooms were on the small side but adequate. There was also a lounge, bar area on the ground floor that looked quite comfortable and inviting. We did not require parking facilities, but there was limited parking directly outside the hotel. Unfortunately the lift was out of action during our stay and was in the process of being repaired, the staff did their best to accommodate us as to avoid frequent use of the flights of stairs by moving us to a ground floor room. Our preference was not to be on the ground floor and we were reallocated a room on another floor to our liking. On the whole, found our stay a positive experience."

"Nice central location. Hôtel is a stately structure and is in places looking a little tired. A great choice of food for breakfast but you may find quite suitable options for less cost in the close neighbourhood. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I would be happy to stay here again."

"Exterior of the hotel a bit shabby but made up for when you enter the lobby. You can see how in years gone by this was the place to stay. Still has charm, chandeliers, colourful glass roof and huge spiral staircase. Staff were great. Proper white shirts and black waistcoat uniforms. At meal times they were everywhere. Plenty of choices at breakfast. Room had plenty of storage, bathroom was clean, bed was comfy. We had a sea view room with sliding door onto a patio with sunbeds, worth paying the extra for the sea view room."

"Fantastic sea view. Lovely size room ,breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay again . Very close ( 5 minutes ) to the seafront or town centre"

"It was fantastic room. Very large although by having an extra bed it meant that there wasn't much room to go through to the door as the bed & wall was tight to manoeuvre. We found our main thing that let us down was house keeping. Beds not made and bathroom towels, soaps etc. were hit and miss."
