"One of the best independent pub hotels I have stayed in. Cannot fault the accommodation but the drive to and the parking in the village could prove challenging if you are not used to driving in rural single track areas. Great place"

"The requested room was an ensuite, it had a toilet and bath , no shower which might be problematic for some. The room didn't have a fan which meant I had to have the windows open all night which was noisy. I paid for a basic room and that's what I got."

"Simple check in and out with helpful staff. Standard breakfast. Easy to park although parking should be free for guests. Noisy air conditioning unit resulted in a bad nights sleep."

"Lack of water in the rooms and limited amount of tea and coffee, for two people. Whilst I understand the need to cut back on extras like this, these are the little things that make the stay special. Impressed by all the staff who greeted us nicely whenever within their space."

"The staff are all, without exception, the friendliest and most helpful people you could wish to meet. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless and the food was excellent"
