"Nice stay. Clean room. Great location. Beautiful restaurant..good food at reasonable price. However, since we had a few minor issues with our room, and since we were booked for 4 nights, we asked for another room. It was apparently impossible because of the reservation system even though it was at the beginning of the week and the hotel was practically empty. Not rude but indifferent."

"The room is on the small side of average and very spartan. There’s no kettle so had to traipse down the corridor to the kitchen like a student. Car park was full on arrival. There was an unexpected charge to park. Really wasn’t obvious from the website I booked. And a bit weird because it’s out of town and driving is the only plausible way to get there. It was approaching 20% of the cost of the room. It’s all very new and shiny which is nice and the beds very comfy. "

"There is no-one in reception.On the night we arrived a very loud alarm went off at around 20 to midnight so after 5 minutes I had to go out of our room to investigate what was happening.It was an alarm from the restaurant area that was closed.There was no number to call in case of emergency.I called the fire alarm people using the number on the wall and the guy told me it wasn't a fire alarm.I then called the only number available for the hotel (a landline number) and no-one answered.By the time I got back to my room at 1 a.m., the alarm finally stopped.To get to the rooms from reception there was a fire door that was wedged open both nights that we were there.We wouldn't go back there."

"Staff all nice. Room worn but clean and tidy so a reasonable stay. Hopefully the following is helpful feedback; Fridge not working (a 2nd one added to the room wasn't working either). Kettle lid broken and kept falling off when filling with water. The in-shower shelf was missing therefore shower gel on the floor. Not a worry to me but maybe to less mobile people. Rooms are not very sound proofed so corridor noise is a problem without very good earplugs. Bed comfy. The bar and lobby are fine and the car park is great so near to town and the quays. As this is one of the less expensive hotels, on balance it is ok and would stay again but would keep an eye on the price."
