"My husband and I stayed two nights. The room was lovely and the bed super comfortable. The room temperature was cool and the bed coverings light (but after a hot summer we had a rather sudden drop in temperature). No extra blankets in the room but I just put the robe on the bed that was enough to make it comfortable.
The staff was very nice, especially in the restaurant Packers on site. We ate there both nights since the other on-site restaurant closed at 6:00, and you are almost 30 minutes from other options. While the restaurant staff was friendly and efficient, and the view interesting, the food was only 3 stars. The fish (fish and chips) was overcooked and dry and the Caesar salad had a dressing that was too generously applied and I was told they were adding extra anchovy flavoring (paste?, ground?). No. Don't. I am finding that more and more restaurants are taking classic recipes and putting their own spin on them which is not working out well. (Think eggs Benedict with cayenne pepper and hot sauce in the hollandaise sauce - but that belongs in a separate review.). We didn't eat the smash burger, but we should have - it looked good."
