"Hermosa Beach in Costa Rica is easily the best ocean swim I have ever had. The waves are massive and completely relentless—just wave after wave. But you need to be a good swimmer if you are going to go in. The currents are very strong. I was wiped out in just five minutes, while some surfers were effortlessly riding them for three hours. It makes sense, though—fighting the edge is where the real workout is, while the deeper water lets you actually ride the energy. The hotel is right on the beach. We landed a day early, cutting the stay at La Fortuna by a day. We got a different room, but Jacob offered me the better room. As it turned out, there was a beach facing room but it was occupied. The following day, he transferred us to that room and didn't even charge us. The service is terrific, the rooms were great and the stay was simply amazing. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Costa Rica."

"The resort was beautiful. Only issue is it did not say on the website that the part of the beach by the resort is not swimmable. You would have to walk a ways down the beach to swim in the water. Also- the jacuzzi was not heated. Staff was helpful! Room was beautiful!"

"The property is nicely located in a quiet "rural type" area in a tropical forest setting. A nice swimming pool, a nice adjacent outdoor kitchen with cabinets, wash basin and fridge. The room was ample with two beds furniture. The bathroom was accessible but the shower had a slippery tile floor, so we needed to put towels on the floor to be safe. The out door dining was pleasant and and free breakfast was great, menu was greatly varied for other meals, the cooks and servers were very friendly and professional. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. A great place to stay."

"We loved our stay at Los Suenos Marriott resort! We stayed 8 nights. Our room was very clean and cleaned every day. We dined at all of the restaurants and the food was delicious at all. The brunch was wonderful! We loved the pool and swim up pool bar. The staff at the hotel were all very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back!"
