Front desk was very courteous and told us upon check in that housekeeping will not clean the rooms daily to help the environment, unless we requested it. It was very good because we were able to manage expectations. The room was spotless but amenities are lacking (lotion, shampoo).

Terrific hotel. Stayed here for 2 weeks during the Euros and couldn’t have been happier! Super quiet yet really close to the train station and main shopping area of Duisburg. This was my 2nd visit and I fully expect it won’t be my last.

I had a good two-day stay at this hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and competent. Location can’t be beat within easy walking distance of the Opera House, Königstrasse (the main shopping area), the harbor and the Harbour. On the negative side, my room was located on the third floor (second in Germany) directly on top of the entrance and it was very noisy until 1am, caused by cats parked in front of the hotel for no reason and blasting their speakers. Someone should do something about it.

This is a unique hotel centrally located in Duisburg (near to the opera and other central buildings). Air-condition was rather loud (disturbing night-sleep).

I might never have tried a more lazy staff! At check in they was slow and couldnt even find the reservation. Then when I told them my name(as they saw in my passport), then suddenly they could find it, in the same papers lying on the desk they already checked. The hotel look nice at pictures, but when you arrive it seems more like a leftover from the Soviet time. I have tried to get the hotel to send me the final invoice twice, but no reaction at all. It will take them 2 minutes. And the reason why I didnt get it was because I didnt realize I had to ask for it myself. I guessed that since I didnt get it they would probably send it by email, as many does today. BUT NO! Good location though, but not a 4-star hotel. Not even on a sunny day!

Small, hot room in good location

Good location closer to railway station. Room small and hot, couldn't change temperature on air conditioning. Also only tiny desk, difficult to work on. Very slow WiFi.
