"This was my 3rd time to stay at this property. On all 3 occasions, the cable or satellite was hit or miss. It would work for 15 minutes the quit for 30. I stay on these properties for business and like to enjoy a baseball game in the evening, that being said, I would like to make it to the 4th stay but….."

"This was our wedding anniversary weekend and our first time staying at a bed and breakfast. Others will have a hard time beating Monmouth.The breakfast was pretty good. The entire staff, including Brianna and Lynn at the front desk, Nechelle, Diamond, and Ms. Mary in the dining hall, the gentlemen working on the grounds and those members, whose names I didn't get, working behind the scenes were absolutely magnificent. We can't forget chef Mike at Restaurant 1818. His bread pudding was some of best we've tasted. We got some to take home. Overall, our stay at Monmouth was FANTABULOUS! The Clays"

"The grand was fantastic 10 years ago! It seriously needs updating. If you stay more than 1 night, after the air fresheners wear off, you can really smell how nasty the carpet is. Breakfast is still the same as Covid times, it’s a line were people serve you, I like to make my own in the proportions I like, It used to be good now it is mediocre, bland. I remember that lady who used to make the best fresh eggs.! Bar was closed on Saturday night???? The elevators made scary noises and were sketchy…mattress and pillows needed updating . Please make this place to what it used to be. Overall, I like the price i got, but it used to be better."

"Very few options for breakfast and seemed to be limited to the first couple guests who went through as when i passed around 7:25 there were empty dishes. Faucet in the shower was busted so that you had to press hard into the wall to turn the water on and only would spew water from both the showerhead and the faucet. Bed was soft as very alarming to walk in initially and have to crank the a/c on 64 to cool the room down as the properties method of keeping cost down i guess it's setting the temp in the 80s after guests leave so that the a/c never is running. The 2 desk staff were professional these were the only staff i saw. Overall couldn't beat the price but unlikely to ever come back very disappointed as i don't think it was even with the bargain i paid to stay here. "

"Room was basically clean but vent was very fuzzy above bed. I have respiratory allergies. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. Parking on site is tight and we had to have the staff get another guest to move their car to leave the first am. We opted to park on the street after that."
