"Hotel short walk from station run by young couple keen to make a difference. Oozes character, surrounded by historic architecture and fits right in. Cafes, restaurants, pubs close at hand with lots of shopping close to hand. I nipped down a nearby alley each morning to enjoy a great riverside walk to the park and home for breakfast."

"loved the property they said they had a problem with the aircon offered cool drinks and ice lollys however we found it was too cold throughout the hotel. food was a little pricy in the resteraunt on the first night. however the breakfast was great in the morning. i enjoyed the gym swim sauna and jacizzi"

The hotel garden backs onto a beautiful park and is a three minute walk to cafes and shops (some of these appear to be shut on Tuesdays, but there were enough open to make a trip worthwhile).
If you have accessibility issues make sure you request a downstairs room as there are no lifts.
There is so much to do in the area; a long weekend is very quickly filled with museums,...
