"I took a solo trip to this resort and I must say the staff is very friendly, the resort is very clean, and the food is very good. Btw there is so much stuff to do around the resort I would suggest waiting to book your excursions once you get here. An employee named Tan was very helpful. They also have a beautiful river fall on the resort! Beautiful mountains as well!"

"The place was obviously popular once but hasn't been looked after and is now forgotton by the owners It's full of old furniture that should have been thrown away and walking through reception the smell of mould was strong. My guess is that it was left during COVID and has never recovered. The staff espcially the cleaning and restaurant staff tried really hard to make me feel comfortable but it was largely empty and it felt sad and lonely. I had paid in advance and left a day early. I asked for a refund for the final day but was refused. "

"Our stay at the Merchant Villa was very pleasant. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The property grounds are beautiful and we really enjoyed the on site wine bar, restaurant, and coffee shop. Upon checking out, we both received a gift bag with some good snacks.
