"I loved the place but there was nobody there when it was time to check in. I was sent instructions in French and I don't speak French. Thank goodness another guest was leaving and although they spoke French they took me to my room and showed me how to get in. I loved the place though and it was a great deal for the price. I'd definitely stay there again."

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is fantastic and makes it easy to explore the beautiful town of Sancerre. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. A few things to keep in mind: the staff only spoke French, so communication could be difficult if you don’t speak the language. The amenities are fairly limited—there was no ice available, no on-site parking, and not many of the small conveniences you might expect. While the room itself was a nice size, I personally prefer hotels with a few more amenities and easier access to everyday necessities. Overall, it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a great location and don’t mind a more basic boutique hotel experience."

"Amazing stay in this hotel, staying for two nights in their Junior Suite. Hotel is exceptional, building renovated to a modern standard with architectural and designer items everywhere, inc stunning furniture and quality products throughout. Grounds are lovely with the hotel perched on the top of Sancerre, overlooking the town and the Loire. You can also get access to the Tour des Fiefs tower which is in the grounds. Our room was spacious, well designed and quality throughout. Breakfast was good but I think they could refine and improve the offering, offering small fruit salads and some other pre-prepared items. We had dinner at the hotel for one evening during a special week with the chef and his father cooking, this was well worth it. They are expanding with some new rooms and adding a pool and have plenty of parking. We were staying on our honeymoon and it would have been nice to have had something small in the room to acknowledge this, but do appreciate this is a cost to them. I'd recommend and if we are in the area again I would stay, would like to see their new tower room and pool."

"Everything was unique about this place, the location, the warm and generous host, her dog Twiggy. We had a delicious breakfast every morning including freshly made crepes. At the last minute we were given a ride to the nearest train station ! I will never forget Nicole and her place. Ligia"

"Helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was average quality; tea bags kept at reception so you had to ask for them but I guess people had been taking them! Restaurant was good - majority of diners seem to be single people probably on business trips. Room was very small but also quiet. No lift so might be unsuitable for clients who have mobility issues. Strange that there is a notice in the room about paying for any glasses you might steal! Maybe reflects a poor experience on their part!"

"Easy to find, good safe parking. Check in was easy, helpful chap. The room was ok but you couldn’t swing a cat 🐈 in it 😂 Quite small to say the least but it was ok. Breakfast was great, in fact out of 4 hotels the best so far. "
