"Lovely surroundings. Our room was cozy. Nicely decorated but carpet could have benefited from a shampoo. En suite very small. Shower small if you are not very thin! Window seat only sitting option which was ok if not closing curtains Lovely food in the evening. Breakfast average and not great selection for continental. All in all though we would definitely return but would book larger room"

"All staff were excellent..in particular Nicola at the front desk..nothing was too much trouble and with a lovely welcoming manner. The room was superb with a lovely view of the river Tyne from both indoors and from the balcony. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent and the fridge was a bonus. Breakfast was great..lots of choice in both continental and cooked. Decaf coffee and oat milk were on offer - very unusual! I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be...

"We had a lovely one-night stay here - the owner and staff were super welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed a great breakfast in the morning. We were in one of the attic rooms, which involved a bit of stooping on our part, but it was a lovely room all the same!"

"I really liked this hotel. Conveniently located near train station but quiet. My only concern was that the restaurant is very limited in its offerings (primarily chicken). I was glad to see a broader range of options for breakfast, at least. Overall a nice hotel but I wouldn’t count on the restaurant for dinner. "

"We’ve stayed at this hotel many times. It’s a great location with good facilities. Staff are always very welcoming a check-in. Rooms are well equipped with a fridge in the room. Breakfast service was outstanding with very friendly and checking everything was ok. Great selections and plenty still available 30 mins before finishing. Highly recommend this hotel"
