"Check-in was fine. There was a wedding on (on a Monday) and was left with a feeling you’d crashed someone’s party. Staff were obviously busy with this wedding so not so attentive to other guests. Main gripe was the additional £25 charge on the room for having our dog with us which wasn’t mentioned in any of the booking material. It’s good to be ‘pet friendly’ but also please be transparent about the charges."

"The room was tiny. The bathroom was so tiny the door closed on the toilet as well as the shower room door. The beds were like water beds no support at all. I asked for a fan for the room and was no we don’t have any. When i asked for extra pillows i met with a sigh and told if i can find some i will get you some. The breakfast was all overcooked. I had to nip out to the car, and ended up not being able to get back in to the building. Also, when others are entering the building (was a separate building with just bedrooms) the doors rattle really badly. My daughter kept thinking someone was trying to get in the room. "

"Such a lovely hotel/townhouse to stay for adults. It’s unique, clean, cozy and many shops and restaurants nearby making it a convenient location when you are visiting Edinburgh. It is also near the tram stop. I would advise travellers with big luggages to book the rooms on the lower floor as there are no lifts available and will be difficult to carry luggages if room(s) book will be on the ascending floors.
