From the moment you walk in the hotel you are treated by lovely people doing all they can to make your stay amazing.
Beautiful building which has been very well restored. The bar and restaurant are really nice and the food was fantastic. Very good value for money and the staff were lovely, I would book again.
Great hotel and service. Very friendly and professional staff. Beautiful location. Fantastic breakfast (quality of the food and its presentation, and reasonable size of the portions)
Lovely, clean room.
Check in was quick and easy, which I was grateful for, given my late night arrival after a very long day.
Very lovely hotel; my second time here and def recommend and will stay again.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Great breakfast options. Nice lounge areas.
The hotel room looked a little tired but otherwise enjoyed our stay!
We only had a brief stay but the hotel was large and very good value for money. The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The grounds are lovely and location perfect.
Excellent choice beautiful stately home decor dated but beautiful period staff very obliging bedroom well serviced with a very modern shower.breakfast superb with a large and varied choice highly recommended.
Very pleasant surroundings, beautiful building. perfect grounds. I had a single room only which was very nice and bright with strong water pressure. Would stay again. Maybe i misunderstood but adding breakfast would add £ 40....
Excellent stay
Another great stay at this wonderful and peaceful hotel. Beware of the dog (charge) - it’s expensive at £25 per pet per night. Otherwise one of our very favourite places to come and relax!
We really enjoyed our time at the Balbirnie House. The gardens and grounds were beautiful and peaceful, and it was a great home base for us to stay near Edinburgh. The train was easy to catch from Glenrothes and took less than an hour to arrive in the city (although peak-time prices were extreme!).
We had a family suite and there was plenty of space for our 3 grown boys and us, but we could have used a fan in each bedroom as the days were warm and the windows didn't open wide enough to allow for airflow. Meals at the on-site restaurant were lovely, and the staff was accommodating and professional. Overall a very nice stay!
Lovely hotel as a perfect place of calm through a family bereavement.
Staff are superb - so friendly, accommodating and helpful. Cosy room - just what was needed.
Simply the best country house hotel in Scotland. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the rooms and grounds are amazing. Breakfast is lovely. Can’t praise it highly enough. Definitely our go to hotel when we need a break!
