Ok place. Breakfast poor, basically cereals and toast. Pastries on offer but stale. Room ok could have been better for the cost. Only saw owner very briefly once as we arrived and a 2 minute conversation this morning before we left. Fabulous views.

Very accommodating and warm hosts. Excellent room with a very nice view. I loved this place and would go back again whenever I visit next.

Parking was a bit tricky as not many spaces and the car park was filled most days. You do hear noises from the owners accommodation above in your room. Excellent breakfast set up with lots of choice.

Lovely place
This is a lovely place - beautiful location, beautifully presented and very relaxed. Each room is en suite and the guests have access to a lounge/diner with use of kitchen I feel very comfortable at My Way - so much so that I’ve been back a few times and will continue to do so when I can.

Hidden gem just outside Durham
A hidden gem on the outskirts of Durham! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home by Kaye & her family. The guesthouse is tucked away with a lovely big outdoor space & rural views for miles. Each apartment has its own entrance so you’re free to come & go as you please, and there’s no risk of being a bother to other guests. We were also given unlimited use of the large conservatory (lounge / dining area) for our stay. The guesthouse was spotlessly clean throughout with a lovely boutique feel (our room had a rolltop bath). Great attention to detail on COVID safety with sanitiser one every room, pre-packaged foods at breakfast & anti-bac for wiping down surfaces. Breakfast was self service, ample & replenished daily - our little girl loved the homemade pancakes!! Lovely country pubs within a minutes’ drive & we were welcome to order takeaway to enjoy in the conservatory or outdoor seating area if we wished. What we loved the most was that Kaye & her family were friendly & helpful without being intrusive, we were reassured that they were always on hand if we needed them, but likewise they left us to enjoy our stay - so it really felt like a home from home. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again.

I stayed at this guest house for a weekend and had a very comfortable quite stay.. I recieved a friendly wellcome and was assured that if I require anything to just ask.. As everything was just perfect The breakfast was arranged very well clean tidy and effeciently to help your self to a variety of fresh continental food. Highly recommend this Guest house it ticked all the boxes for a pleasurable stay.. and beautiful location easy access to Durham centrum.

On a recent visit to Durham, we needed dog friendly accommodation close to the city. In this respect My Way Guest House fitted perfectly. Our room was more than adequate, comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was outstanding, not the traditional cooked one but an outstanding assortment of cereals, yoghurts, croissants, bagels, pancakes, jams, honey, coffee and tea. Breakfast is taken in a lovely conservatory overlooking a substantial garden and local countryside. There was plenty of dog walking areas in the immediate vicinity. We could take a regular bus into the city which took 15 minutes. Whether you have pets or not, I would recommend My Way Guest House for it's location, price and Kaye's warm welcome.

The country setting with stunning views at the rear are exceptional. Very nice owners who made you very welcome. Continental breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and served in the conservatory with those stunning views.

Cuthbert Room
Lovely decorated room with a great view (Cuthbert), spacious, clean and tidy. Large bathroom with clawfoot bath and shower. Breakfast was self-service with a great selection - cereals, breads, fruit, juices etc., the only issue was the complicated water heater for making tea/coffee.
