"Excellent location for town centre, polite and friendly staff"

"On entering the property we was greeted by the reception staff they were very friendly and helpful, they made our short stay feel at ease, had everything we needed and the owner was so polite even carried my bag upstairs and said anything we need just ask. Really can’t fault our room was lovely felt homely & cosy, the area was nice & quiet. Highly recommend this place. We had the family room as it was the last one left for us to book & was a great size room. 10/10 "

"Nice upscale hotel with large rooms. Good work desk and internet. Breakfast had lots of choices, both hot and cold. Nice location along canal, with a reasonable (if uphill) walk into town, towards the cathedral. Getting to the hotel by foot from the station more challenging due to the hill nature of town, and construction blocking various access ways."

"Brilliant weekend in Durham and this was a perfect place to stay. Far enough from the center to be too noisy but close enough to walk to the city centre and also the railway station. The rooms were very clean, the beds comfy and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly "
