An excellent place to stay
A wonderful property. Beautiful area (be warned google maps does try and confuse you). The welcome was warm, the staff were excellent and the rooms were brilliant. Will definitely be coming back!

This is a very clean and beautiful property. The outside grounds are very well kept and there are tables through to sit outside and enjoy the beauty. The spacious rooms have everything you need! Nice comfy beds, hot, clean showers with plenty of water pressure, a table, desk, large window, and a coffee and tea station with hot water pot. Nice bar, too!

Lack of communication
We have stayed here numerous times as it is close to family; and always enjoyed it. The last time and this stay had limited food options ( no food in November) only continental breakfast this time. We are fine with that if we had been told at the time of booking

No hot food
We have stayed in this hotel many times as it is close to visit family. Usually we have at least one evening meal and breakfast each day of our stay. Only when I was booking in did I find out that because of the renovations no hot food was available. I think that this should have been made clear at the time of booking. I would stay here again as the staff were efficient and friendly; also the room was good with a comfortable bed.

GYM and POOL are closed!! update your web please!
Got a call the day before to say there was no dining available and breakfast would be continental only.. Too late to try find somewhere else in the area at a reasonable price. Didn't min the food aspect too much but the gym/pool are closed and have been for a while WHICH WAS NOT ONLINE this was the biggest disappointment. Update your advertising please. Still charged full price which I thought was pretty poor service in light of the inconvenience. JustEat sorted me out for dining..

Sub-standard in many respects.
I expected things to be difficult during lockdown. The place was clean and the room was OK. However, there was no food available at the hotel (I was offered takeout menus from local takeaways!). No Also, the WiFi in my room was non-existent and when I asked about this I was told by reception that WiFi can be bad in many of the rooms of the hotel. Given I was going to be staying 2 days I left and made alternative arrangements. I can't recommend this hotel for business travel.

I was double charged for a stay, 3 weeks later I am still trying to get a refund. Upon check out the receptionist was loitering outside the property on his phone !!! Not very Professional. The room I stayed in was very worn carpets filthy but bed was clean and comfortable. Will I be back ........ No

No food available
Used to stay here regularly before Covid, first time back since March. Very disappointed to find that there was no bar or restaurant available in the hotel so you had to leave the hotel for food, no longer a hotel in my view if this is the case, just a b&b. No warning of this on the site. Will not be back until this is sorted

I booked in with my mother on a Sunday night. Very little social distancing at reception. Staff serving tables had masks but people didn’t so in the crowd it was a worry. Bedrooms are nice. However chaos on corridor as children were running wild everywhere. We complained at reception but nothing was done. We left the hotel to go to meet family. When we returned before 10 the same situation was ongoing on corridor. Children running around- shouting and kicking doors. We complained again. Nothing done. The adults arrived to room before 12. Adults how joined in shouting. Sing song started in rooms. We left at 12 midnight. I am still waiting to hear from the hotel. Never again!
