"Great room with walk in en suite. Friendly staff who were very accommodating. Delicious breakfast."

"Great location but very noisy in our front room at the weekend with revellers coming out other pubs. Staff all really helpful and can't do enough for you. Plenty choice at breakfast"

"What a lovely welcoming Hotel. Loved the ambience from the moment we walked in the door. Reception staff excellent. Our room was also very nice. We had dinner and this was so good. 5 stars all round."

"Very nice stay as we have had previously and we will be going back"

"I really enjoyed my stay, and certainly hope to get back to this hotel very soon. The quality of food at breakfast was incredible."

"The room was clean but the curtains and chair were thread bare. The staff were excellent. The breakfast was OK during the week but excellent at the weekend. The bar and staff were really good but quite expensive. Overall it was a nice stay but in my opinion the hotel needs a over hall."

"Outstanding and caring staff optimised our stay. Gorgeous food and it was great to chat with the owner. Suggest an EV charge point for guests would be an enhancement. There was a commercial point just a couple of miles away in town, but being able to charge overnight would save time in our day and make sure we were ready to travel around visiting the region. "Absolutely fantastic service, staff were were superb. Will definitely return and recommend to all family and friends."

"We were happy enough with our room at St Ronans Hotel and we were grateful for the host's recommendation that we should go to The Traquair Arms Hotel for our evening meal."

"Our stay included a basic, but good sized room, at a good rate, with a beautiful view over the river. Check in staff were friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable enough. Our main complaint was the standard of the food in the restaurant. Waiting, and bar staff, looked universally miserable and service was extremely slow, even when there were few occupied tables (with the notable exception of the woman at breakfast, who was friendly and efficient). The food was of poor...

"The public areas were a bit dark and gloomy. The bedroom was hot and stuffy even with the windows open. Some furniture was quite old fashioned but the bed was comfortable enough. The food was OK but lacked better wine choices. The breakfast was a bit too greasy. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Very helpful staff. Good food. Excellent location."

"Staff were excellent. Food was very good. Central location. Spacious room with fridge. All rooms in the hotel are up some stairs. No lift."

"Awesome owner and such a nice place to stay with a baby ☺️"
