"Beautiful property and very nice ambiance.Staff was very helful,parking very easy.The dining options need work.The food is not very impressive.Some dishes were heavily salted and I am big on salt so if I think it’s salty then it’s really salty.There is not much in the area for dining so you are pretty much a captive audience."

"Beautiful setting right on the river. Large grounds. Quiet at night. Lovely spot. Just a few minute drive from Weaverville. However, Weaverville has very little to offer in terms of restaurants. Good base for hiking for a day or two."

"I realize cheap motels aren't going to be new and bright and beautiful, but even a cheap motel should be sanitary/clean. Evidently the same owners from years ago...towels worn so badly that they're very thin and yellowed.....years ago we stayed there and they had an oil (car oil?) stained, shredded bath mat that I promptly returned to the office manager....and a stranger tried crawling thru the window in the middle of the night. That was years ago, but the towel thing doesn't seem to improve. ...

"My family and I stayed for the weekend, The cabin was perfect, clean, comfy beds. They also had a fire pit, grill, and swing to enjoy. Deer that walked the property, especially at dusk. Pool was great, cheap firewood to purchase. There was a local boat rental down the was. $185 for 4 hour on the lake. One Thing Ranch in town where you can tour, pet, and feed Alpacas and Llamas for $25. Local markets and good Bbq in town. Perfect little spot to get away."

"This is a real sanctuary, hidden I. The Redwood hills. Perfect spot to disconnect, relax and enjoy nature. Their sauna is awesome, and so is the temple, where I meditated a few times. Sad to know the property is for sale… go visit while you can!!"

"No vacancy. I had a reservation. When I tried to register, door locked. Note saying call this long distance no.. It's 90 outside temp. No call back. I see another note pasted to another window to call this other no. for registration. Manager finally showed up. Surly. I was given a room where a ladder was in front of my window and all parking spaces taken by construction crew. I asked for another room - again he was surly. No more rooms, he said. No one else complained. he said. ...

"The home does have an old charm to it. We enjoyed staying here. It is in the middle of the national forest and about 20 minutes from a smaller town with a grocery store. There were quite a few insects trying to run for cover inside the house since it got cold at night in the forest. It was very accessible for someone in a wheelchair minus the tub in the bathroom (it’s hard to put a shower chair in the tub and fit a body in there at the same time)."
