"The sargassum was intolerable. They cleaned it up everyday, but the smell was off-putting. Not the fault of the hotel so no dings for that.
Most of the staff were very friendly, but not all. Maybe they don’t care for tourists. Definitely a chill in the air on an otherwise balmy island.
If we visit St. Lucia again, we’ll be looking for accommodations a little more upscale. Nice for families in a budget, however.

"The Royalton Resort on Saint Lucia is in a beautiful location. It is quite a distant ride from the airport (at least 90 minutes - so be prepared). The staff was excellent; very accommodating and friendly. The pool and beach area were very clean and well staffed - offering towels and bar service. The bars provided a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, but don't expect top shelf without extra cost. There was no food service at the outside bars, which would have been a great addition....

"I take great care in doing my research before booking each vacation and I had high expectations for this resort. I am happy to say all expectations were absolutely exceeded! This is an astonishingly beautiful and unique spot to stay. Every single staff member was amazingly gracious and welcoming, we enjoyed the food and absolutely loved this stay.
