"I stayed here with one of my good friends for a weekend of walking and heritage visits. It was wonderfully quiet and remote, but quite near to lots of great parts of that area of Somerset, including being able to walk from the B&B across the hills to Montacute House. The owner couldn’t do enough for us, and the rooms were super clean, comfortable and had everything you could need. "I am autistic, and therefore read everything and anything about where I'm going before my stay to alleviate any anxiety. Unfortunately, some of the reviews I read were not great, so I started to panic about my choice of accommodation; those reviews couldn't be further from the truth!
The lodge is beautiful! The bathrooms are very tastefully done - modern without clashing with the traditional decor - and the four poster bed was such a lovely touch.

"It was a really cosy place, surprisingly extremely clean and great for three nights- would’ve loved to have stayed longer.
As other reviews stated we did find that between 23:00 and 03:00 it was rather loud outside, people seeming to congregate below our window even though there was nothing in particular outside the place, however free ear plugs were available to use and since we were out late most of the night this didn’t really affect us.
There was a small discount on drinks in the bar below...

"A great place for a short stop. Very clean and tidy room. Non - contact check in and out so a little impersonal. But nothing wrong with that as long as you're able to cope with simple technology. Well placed for town centre"
