It’s also just ten minutes by tuktuk to Galle which cost about £1.50 - £2.00. The pool is lovely and the roof top bar sells great cocktails. We ate dinner at the hotel which was delicious and reasonably priced. They were very accommodating of our dietary requirements (vegetarian and vegan.) "Large rooms with comfortable bed right on the beach. Easy walking to many tourist shops and many restaurants. Lots of fresh seafood available from these restaurants. Staff was very friendly and eager to help with a smile. The restaurant prepared a seafood grill each night and set tables with candies at the edge of the surf. Breakfast was very good with lots of fruit and an omelette station as well as curry. Can’t go wrong staying here. "

"At the end of our Sri Lanka holiday we decided to spend a bit more on our Unawatuna hotel & were not disappointed. We had large rooms with loads of space, kitchen, really comfy beds, excellent views from our balconies. The staff were helpful & the pool lovely. We did book nicer rooms that some there & didn't eat so can't comment on the food. It's a bit of a walk or a short Tuk Tuk ride to the main tourist area or a beach but that also means it's quiet there."

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"Oppholdet var bra, men det var noen småting som gjorde det hele litt ubehagelig. Det er f.eks. ikke solskjerming/screens på rommene. Noe som gjør at sola kommer rett inn på rommet fra 05.00. Noe som er upraktisk med småbarn som våkner ekstra tidlig da. Og hotellet lå mellom bilvei og strand så støy fra veien var også litt plagsomt. Med tanke på at det var et område med mye mygg, kunne de med fordel ha hatt noe mer fokus på dette. Ikke myggnett, spray eller andre forebyggende ting i...
