The room was spacious, clean and luxurious. There were a few bugs but this is to be expected staying in the jungle. The check in staff were fantastic and very pleasant. The restaurant was a little slow with their service, and better food can be found in town.

Everything was great! The only thing I didn't love was the internet connection. It looks like they use 4G cellular modems with data limits instead of a cable or fiber network. I occasionally had to hold Teams meetings for work, and the connection would drop and never get back. However, this seems to be a common issue across Sri Lanka, not just at this hotel. Aside from that, everything else was absolutely perfect, especially the staff and the location!

Nous avons séjourné seulement deux nuits pour découvrir la région mais nous avons adoré le lieu et surtout l’atmosphère relaxante et cosy du Jungle Village. C’est une expérience très agréable, les chambres sont vraiment spacieuses et agréable avec une vue sur la canope. L’environnement de l’hôtel nous a ressourcé et relaxé le temps de notre séjour. L’équipe est agréable, chaleureuse et très attentionnée, ils ont tous contribué à faire de notre séjour un moment qu’on n’oubliera pas! Tout à été parfaitement orchestré entre notre arrivée et notre départ dans les moindres détails, nous n’avons pas vraiment dû nous soucier de quoi que ce soit, tout était anticipé. Le restaurant propose une multitude de plats locaux délicieux!

Le point fort de cet établissement réside dans son originalité. La situation en pleine nature au contact des singes et avec les bruits des oiseaux au lever du jour vous donne l’image d’être en plein cœur de la jungle. Le chalet est vaste et les équipements ( wifi, réfrigérateur, bouilloire avec thé et café) sont bien presents.

We had an amazing time at Jungle Village with such a lovely warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. The property is simply stunning - a real jungle scene with birds and monkeys all around. Our room was large and spacious with glass all the way round for excellent views and we had our own balcony too. It’s a short tuk tuk ride from Unawatuna beach or a walk to jungle beach if you prefer something a little quieter. The owners clearly have a passion and vision for what they are trying to create here, and Jungle Village proves that you can enjoy nature and luxury at the same time - we loved our time here!!
