"Nice hotel with views of the estuary. Fairly quiet given its central location. With-in walking distance of the train station. I had a comfortable and clean room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Wifi was available in the lounge but not my room. There's a decent breakfast for those who want it. Happy to stay there again."

Comme le reste, le petit déjeuner est de qualité, il y en a pour tous les goûts et régimes alimentaires : froid, chaud, continental, anglais, sans gluten... On y est resté 4 nuits, nous aurions pu y poser nos valises plus longtemps. Je recommande sans hésiter."

We did not stay for breakfast as we we had to travel on early next day but the tea we had in the garden was lovely. The thatched guest house was in easy access for walks & visit to Sidmouth. "The lobby, bar and restaurant have an elegant and timeless feel. I loved relaxing on the terrace with a cup of tea and a book. The room was large but my air conditioner didn’t work and the bed felt worn/old. I mentioned it to the desk and they put a mattress topper on the bed which really fixed the issue. The windows opened and in late August with the fan in the room - I was comfortable. The comfort of the rest of the hotel and the fantastic sauna, pool and hot tub made up for the bed and air...
