"First this is a weekend town. Sundays and Mondays it’s like the whole town and lake are asleep. Nothing is open. We stayed in 2 rooms at the chase house for 4 nights with waterfront balconies. The hotel is divided into four different buildings. The church landing building seemed to be the most ideal where you can actually enjoy the lake with the room you’re paying for. In the chase house, you are across the street. And the street during the day is LOUD! Trucks and motorcycles all day...

"This place is remarkable. My favorite details include : The grand staircase in the foyer, the design of old world charm in the rooms, the top notch amenities like kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming in an infinity pool overlooking the lake. We saw a bald eagle and loons on the lake. Couldn’t have been a more perfect stay!"

"Nobody in office 8 pm til 11 am. Don't go looking for a great breakfast. Staff friendly when we were there. Mold in shower, debris on carpet, windows covered in ripped ancient contact paper. Beds comfy, convenient location. All wood decks and stairs cracked, loose, shaky and decrepit. Only a few chairs available and some broken. Prepare yourself to dash across busy street to reach tiny bit of sandy beach. Did see a canoe there."

"Property was on beautiful base of the lake. Our room was very average, bedding and shower were okay and very basic. Loved our balcony and view of the lake. The kayaks were nice but were an additional charge per hour. The fire pit was nice although extremely hot weather some s'mores would have been great! Basic breakfast was included.....we just ended up getting coffee and finding local spot to eat.. Georges diner was great! Near a grocer, ice cream spot and tap room within walking distance .."

"This hotel is NOT even close to what it looks like in the pictures. It is a dilapidated, very dated hotel in need of a gut and complete replacement of everything. The indoor pool is empty, the grounds are littered and frankly scary to stay there, we got in and got out as quickly as possible in the morning. For the price.. this was WAY WAY over priced.."

"Check in/ check out we’re very easy. The room was extremely clean. It was pretty quiet there also. Breakfast had a decent selection, if things ran out, someone refilled it quickly. It’s close to the highway too. I’d definitely stay here again."

"Staying at Lakeview House is like stepping back into the Victorian era, but with all the modern conveniences. The rooms are very comfortable and beautifully appointed. If you’re a solo traveler or couple I highly recommend staying in one of the rooms at the front of the house (mine was room 9) - you can lay on the bed and look right out at Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossippee mountains."
