"Next time I’m told to think of my ‘happy place,’ it will be here! The grounds are stunning, the rooms are comfortable, the kitchen facilities are brilliant, the pool is beautiful and the breakfasts are out of this world!! But the what really makes it are the most amazing hosts; they are so knowledgable about the local area and love offering recommendations, they are so welcoming (the most delicious sweet snacks upon arrival and a glass of rosè) and two of the kindest, funniest, loveliest people...

I arrived in the evening after a long journey to find everything closed but for the help of the caretaker I would have been stranded and seriously at risk. I had to find another hotel in Les Eyzies and pay 70 euros for a taxi to get there. "

"This was a fabulous choice as a stop over on our Dordogne adventure. Chris was there to welcome us and show us around the property, and even though we were a little early he invited us in to enjoy the facilities. The room was quaint with lovely French decor, with all the modern facilities added to our experience. Great Wifi, air conditioning & a large shower were all a great bonus. "This hotel is set in beautiful gardens next to and overlooking the River Dordogne where there are always about 200 swans swimming around next to the building. The hotel swimming pool is set in the extensive gardens overlooking the river and is very clean with ample sun beds around it. Breakfast is taken on a balcony overlooking the river - fantastic views. Our hosts are charming people who could not have done more to make our stay enjoyable. "
