"An absolutely fantastic stay at a hotel a short drive from the channel Tunnel terminal. It was everything we needed, quick to check in, friendly staff, a clean spacious room and a fantastic bed for the night. The room was quiet, a fan was provided and we had a much needed night’s sleep in a very comfy bed. We were a little concerned about security and parking a car, but I would not hesitate to return, or recommend this hotel to others needing an overnight stop in Calais."

"I have stayed in this Hotel many times now, with my wife, my children and alone - it is the first place past the tunnel and does not look appealing from the outside. In fact it looks like something from the 1970s - but do not let that put you off - The staff, the flexibility make up for the look. The staff are what makes it- want a drink at 1am, no problem, want a pizza for the kids, no problem - want to practice some French- they will speak French even though their English is probably better...
"Due to our vehicle breaking down we needed a place to stay while the vehicle was fixed. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful, helping us source a garage, making us feel comfortable and welcome the whole time. We found that local buses are free, so we still had opportunities to explore the area, though we loved the walking too. We would highly recommend this hotel. "
"We had an excellent stay at Les Secrets des Loges in Calais. The room was very clean with coffee and tea making facilities, bottled water, toiletrees and very comfy bed. Laurent and Nathalie were so friendly and welcomed us into their guest house, which is also their home with great warmth and kindness. "We only stayed for one night and honestly wished it could have been longer. The hotel is wonderful, with very friendly and welcoming staff. The check-in was especially warm and pleasant, which immediately made us feel at home.
Our room was a very good size, clean and comfortable, with a well-designed, functional bathroom. We were travelling by car, so the on-site parking was a big plus — especially since it was just steps away and made it easy to access the car whenever we needed...

It may just be the area as it was quite loud with traffic.
We always request a sea view room so again, we should be used to the noise by now!"
"Very friendly receptionist, we arrived late at night but still all smiles and great service. Free public car parking just across the street, very nice and convenient. Quiet and clean neighbourhood. Comfortable beds and lots of space in the room with a sofa and chairs. A big plus for the water boiler and free coffee and tea. We did not have the breakfast but instead walked a few hundred metres into town and ate an affordable boulangerie. "
