"The bed was very uncomfortable!!! It dipped in the middle so it was quite difficult to lie flat. The balcony only had one seat on it but, as we couldn’t get the door open anyway, that wasn’t a problem. I didn’t take a shower cap with me as I expected the hotel to provide a selection of toiletries. It didn’t. "Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing and did not meet the expectations of a 4-star hotel. The first room had a problem with the toilet flush, but the staff reacted quickly and gave us another room. However, the overall condition of the hotel was poor. The furniture looked very worn out, the carpet had many stains, and the table in the room felt sticky. In the morning, we noticed water leaking under the sink every time we washed our hands. "We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They left a beautiful cake for my birthday! The breakfast was exceptional, nice view of the canal. The hotel smelt amazing and they had all the amenities you will need. I will definitely be staying again."

"Excellent breakfast. Room, bedside lamp nearest door needs fixing. The mount is broken. No real problem, just that the lamp is not able to be directed away from the face of the other person in bed. Take this in good spirit. Ian."
