"This is a nice hotel in the centre of De Koog, not too expensive. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom also spacious and there is good light above the mirror. The shower is good. There is a nice restaurant attached with excellent food. My only negative is that the bed was sagging in the middle, not so comfortable."

"A nice stay. Good sized clean room but bathroom was a little disappointing and old fashioned, but is not a huge problem. Staff very nice. Parking excellent . Breakfast was good. Pool is excellent. Area around is really nice and the beach is very lovely. Very safe area. Great place for walking and running. Another highlight was the resident parrot - so cute. Thank you to the staff. My son left his iPad laying around which was handed in and reception held on to it for him. Would stay again. "

"Super clean, and some of the friendliest and obliging staff I've encountered on any trip. Can't comment of food as we didn't eat there, but would certainly recommend. Only thing I'd say is that it isn't a 5 min walk from the harbour - more like 15 mins - but you walk the length of the main stret so you get your bearings early on. "

Winter image of the “Slufter”, a nature reserve on the Wadden Island Texel. The reserve is a large salt marsh between two sand dikes. Creeks with salt water flow right through the area and a northwest storm can flood the entire reserve. Only plants that tolerate salt water can grow here. "I went in April, so peaceful. Walked to the beach and many trails. The village is very pretty. Breakfast was amazing, so tasty choices. On my final day I had to leave early and I was provided with a packed breakfast to take on the road with me."
